ABOUT ME

His nature has developed constantly yet professionally along two paths: the classical one, which led him to degrees in Piano (with Paolo Vignani), Harpsichord (with Patrizia Marisaldi), Composition (with Nadir Vassena) and in Literature (Università Cattolica di Milano), and the jazz one on the Hammond organ and vintage keyboards, an always pulsating yet reserved vein.

He started composing for picture in 2006, writing the music for the documentary film Martha: memorie di una stregaHe has been working for the media industry since then, writing music for films and video games and working as orchestrator and MIDI programmer on different projects for TV and cinema.

While keeping up with videogame work, at the end of 2011 he scored the thriller House of Last Things from his portable studio moved out to L.A. for the occasion.

Growing up with the music of Weather Report, Debussy and the right doses of rock, blues and jazz music, he has been collaborating with Swiss bands Final Step and Re:Funk since 2011, as arranger and keyboard player both live and in the studio.

His harpsichord piece In fuga da Verona won the British Harpsichord Society Composition Competition in 2012, it has been recorded by Maggie Cole and is now published by Cadenza Music.

His latest works include the music for Soeliok. Oltre i confini, the second volume of the fantasy trilogy narrated by actor Carlo Valli and produced by Zone Creative, and L’esilio delle due sponde, a composition for children choir and ensemble which accompanies an artist book with poems by Syrian-Lebanese poet Adonis and engravings by Venetian artist Giovanni Soccol.

He teaches Composition for Picture, Orchestration and Virtual Orchestration at Civica Scuola di Musica ‘Claudio Abbado’ in Milano, where he has been coordinator of the Institute of Music Research.
